Zephyr Knolls GID
Parking on the streets in Zephyr Knolls is not allowed - emergency vehicles need access to our streets - pursuant to Douglas County Ordinances 10.12.030, 10.12.040. In addition, during the winter months - November 1 thru May 1 - there is no safe street parking as snow removal equipment needs access.
The Zephyr Knolls GID was created in 1964 by Ordinance #142 pursuant to NRS 318.010. There are five board members that administer and govern the district. The general purposes for the District are to acquire, construct, reconstruct, grade, improve, extend or better a works, system or facility, including but not limited to, streets, highways, roads, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage, and lighting.

July 4th Security
There will be a security guard at the entrance to the lower section of Zephyr Knolls starting at 7:00am for the 3-day 4th of July weekend. Parking passes will be left on your doorstep to be used for this weekend so the guard can easily identify residents. Please place on your dashboard. If you need more passes or have a guest coming, just talk to the security guard and he/she will accommodate you. This is an effort to prevent or limit beach parking over this busy holiday weekend.
Be bear aware!
Protect our bears, don't leave trash out.
